Problems to import a mpg.file in Vista Business

Postby berane » Mon Sep 03, 2007 7:31 am

On my laptop - with Vista Business - I want to play mpg.files (e.g.) and since Windows Media Player don't work with them I downloaded a free DVD-player (AVS DVD-Player) - and now I can play mpg.files.

But, when I try to import the same mpg.file to ProShowGold (3.0) I got an error-message: Header: "Incompatible File Selected",
Text: "The selected file is not a valid image or video file". On my desktop - with XP Pro - there is no problem to import the same file.

According to Photodex the 3.0-version should work with Vista and it sure do except for import of the mpg.file.

Any suggestions how to deal with this problem are appreciated.

I'm not familiar with Vista, of any kind, but here is an XP advice.
Download and install this codec:
