What is your connection speed? Are you using dialup? If so, that is your problem. You need broadband for downloading the shows.

Some of the tutorials are large, especially Jennifer's (vidqueen), which are 100MB+
Try downloading them to your HD before playing. Mikey has posted how to do this here: http://www.proshowenthusiasts.com/viewt ... ight=mikey

Tut files
If anyone wants an EXE file of these tutorials you can email me at jennifer at choicbackgrounds dot com and I'll see if I can get it to you that way.
Several of them are already available on my website to download, I'll see what I can do about getting the rest up there

ps (can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong when I quote someone...why doesn't it say "Nannybear Wrote:" ?
Good to see you !! I'm not sure why quote doesn't work for you -- I
hit the "quote" button to generate this one (did you try clicking "Preview"
to see how it looks ??) The whole "quote", fonts etc thing is very much
like HTML in that it has a beginning and ending "tag" surrounded by the
square brackets -- for example, if I want the next sentence to be quoted,
I start it with the word quote in square brackets, type the sentence then end
it with the word /quote surrounded with the square brackets (the "/" says
it is the end of the tag). The following is quoted:
the quick brown fox could not catch the bunny with a bad leg
edit -- just sort of as an add on here, you can "tweak" with what the quote
line says -- like where it says "nannybear wrote:" - the word "wrote" is apparently
added automatically as part of processing the tag -- what you should see in the
edit mode when you have hit the "quote" button for example to a nannybear
post is left_square_bracket quote="nannybear"right_square_bracket which
provides the "nannybear wrote" portion, followed by the quote ... /quote tags
which enclose the actual quote. You can modify the quote="somebody" portion
in quotes to say whatever you want (but it will apparently end with "wrote")
I *hate* trying to describe what a set of tags looks like without using the tags
since, if I actually use the correct tags, you see the evaluated result instead
of what I wanted you to see

Jen - if you are copy/pasting, you are doing it wrong -- in the upper right
of the message is a "quote" button. Click that to create a "quoted" response
to the message you are reading (or you can cheat and do it my way by
generating the tags by hand ) You can edit out text you don't want to
leave as part of the quote, just be careful not to fiddle with the begin and
end tags for the quote.

I type my response here ... or in this case, I provide you with a link to my
quick tutorial -- just for you !!!

Just to add to the confusion I do use copy/paste.
I copy what I want to quote, paste it in the new message and then highlight it. Press the 'Quote' button and it adds the tags at either end of the highlight.
If I then want to add who it is from I edit the first tag to say [ quote="nannybear" ], (leaving out the spaces ), see Mikey it is possible to type them in
Brian
I'll now go and watch Mikey's tutorial and find that is precisely what he does
EDIT: Just watched it, never have used the 'Quote' button top right of original message. Man of few words who never quotes the whole message.
EDIT AGAIN: Hey Jennifer you are still the Queen of the avatars, Woooow.

Yes, as I had pointed out earlier, you can do it that way (generate your
own tags). Very good Brian - I thought I had tried the tags with spaces
before and found they were still evaluated - apparently not
You can also modify the tag about "who wrote" as I did above for Brian
You're certainly right about the Avatars -- after seeing VidQueen, I look
like a caveman

Ok, here's what I was doing wrong...I didn't know I wanted to quote someone until I was already in the Post A Reply window...where the quote buttons are missing from the messages!
AWSOME tutorial Mikey! Giggling is a great way to start the day, thanks!
Jen
EDIT: Ok, just re-read the thread and noticed the comments on my Avatar Thanks, Brian and Mikey.....it's always nice to get compliments from Scotsmans and Cavemans alike!
Somehow, I just knew you would appreciate that tutorial. I slaved
over it for minutes !! (but it does help me justify my purchase of
"Snagit" for the screen capture).
