Converting a Publisher file to jpeg that works in PSG:

Postby rjl2gal3 » Sat Aug 25, 2007 11:25 am

I've tried to save it as a jpeg in publisher 2003 and also in Photoshop CS to no avail. Maybe someone has the answer. Thanks again for any help that is forth coming..

Don't have publisher installed so I can't try it but did Publisher save the page as something with a .JPG filename?

If so, what happens when you just double click the file?
What happens when you load it into PhotoShop (what's the error message)?

It opens in ACDC an imagine viewing program and also FastStone which is another one. Something that you said put a light on for me. I used PS again and instead of a jpeg extension I used a tiff and now I can load it into PSG. Thanks for turning on that light for me.

rjl2gal3,

You can also use "png" format from Publisher... I typically save to png and load into Photoshop for final adjustments...

But it looks like you found a solution....

Many thanks for the different solution that I now know about. Truely appreciated Richard...
