Problems Installing v1967
PSG v 3.0 Build 1967 gives me an API error when installing, acts like it is stalled, then at 4% says it ahs installed but upon running the program it is still v1942.
Anyone else having problems?
Thanks
Rick

I have not tried 1967 yet, but one thing comes to mind -- did you
turn off your A/V ?? I have not had any issues with mine, but
some of them really seem to cause problems during an install of
various software things. You might also try rebooting to make
sure the machine is in a relatively clean state (try un-installing
1942 from the control panel add/remove programs so it gets
a clean start). I did notice that add/remove programs doesn't
get everything -- when I removed an older version that way and
installed 1942, it found my registration, so not all registry entries
are removed

Problems Installing Build 1967
Well everyone, when things have been going so great, you forget how to problem solve.
First thanks to all who provide some ideas on why my install may have failed.
Now here is the "Rest of the Story".
I waited 24 hrs, read some of the posts; remove build 1942, disable Anti Viirus etc. All good suggestions and necessary on occasion. I have in the past not had to do anything other than install the new build.
Soooo.... I tried again and got the same message, then the light, always download the software again, just in-case.
Sure enough, after I downloaded build 1967 again, everything went smooth as silk, just as always.
Case CLOSED. Thanks for putting up with my Brain F_rt.

It would be nice if the installer itself did some sort of integraty
check or if they provided either MD5 or SHA sums for people
to check things against. Make it easier to make sure it was
right (although I had a download from Photodex the other day
that seemed to handle funny so I downloaded it a second time
and did a compare (they matched)). Glad you got it sorted out !!
