Video clip sound

There are so many knowledgeable and helpful people on this board. Could somebody please help me?
I am working on a show that includes several video clips. In one video clip the sound is not good, i.e. kids are screaming. I would like to turn the video clip sound off so that only the sound track can be heard. But when I go to slide options and sound, both the custom slide settings and the custom soundtrack settings are grayed out. I right clicked on everything I could find but to no windows popped up. I do not want to use the global sound options because it would turn off the sound for all video clips.

Click the Layers tab in Slide Options. At the bottom you will see Video Clip Settings which includes a volume adjustment.
