Import with no image

Postby claudiusshow » Sun Aug 17, 2014 4:49 pm

Hello pros!

I did an edit on a computer with proshow producer Version 6. I made a collection of all the files to get them on another computer. I véfifiè and all pictures, music are really in the folder on the new computer. But my problem is that nothing appears, yet I see the transitions but no pictures and no music. Bizarre is not it?

Yes, it is strange.

But just to make sure, please confirm that this is what you did:

On the OLD computer, you Collected the Show Files, in a new directory. That directory contains the following files and folders:

image - the folder that contains all your pictures
audio - the folder that contains all the music and sounds
video - the folder that contains all the video clips
a separate file named MyShow.psh (that is, whatever you called your show, with the extension psh.

Then you transferred EVERYTHING to your new computer, and you do have ALL these files and folders on your new computer.

Is this what you did?
If you also copied a file with the extension pxc, please delete it. That is your show cache, and you don't need it on your new computer. It will be recreated from fresh, when you try to open the show on the new computer.

Please confirm that you followed all these steps.
If it's easier for you, you may write in French. We will manage :D

Mona Hello, I remember you have to buy it a few years ago a montage with pictures coming out of the pockets of jeans. it's you is not it?

Thank you for your help

I actually have all the directory mentioned and I did the HSP file besides the directories. Besides, when I open the file it takes the same time it usually takes to open the file and nothing there is no image there. So I ask Producer to find missing files it tells me any missing file.

a+

Yes, the Jeans/Denim Pocket style is mine :D Thanks for remembering.

So, you are a user of Producer, and not of Gold, right ?

You didn't say if you tried deleting the file with the extension pxc (the show cache), and then to reopen your show.
Please try this first.

In addition, you may try this:
Go to the icon of ProShow Producer on your Desktop and RIGHT click on it.
From the menu that opens choose "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR".

If you don't have an icon on the desktop, do the same on the ProShow Producer.exe that appears in the directory: Program Files (x86)\Photodex\ProshowProducer

Let me know if this changed anything for you.

Hello there,

Yes, I use Producer Version 6
Yes, the file pxc been erased.
Yes, I just made the test using Producer as administrator.

I then noticed that the system reads all transistions, effects as a first opening Producer.

But nothing, not a single image is there.

Other ideas?

a +

You may try reinstalling the program, if you wish.
Also, you may call Photodex support.
Apart from this, I don't have any other ideas.

I do hope though, that on this new computer, you are going to use only styles/transitions that you have obtained in a legitimate way.
You see, I have a long memory too.
