combining photos and video

When I put a short video clip in my slideshow - photos on both sides in the timeline, the music will dip down in volume during the display of the video clip and then come back up when the next slide appears. Any way to prevent this?

In PSP, tool bar the icon Music > sondtrack during other sounds > volume at 100%

Just a quick note to add -- it may not apply but that setting will effect all cases where there are two sound items and not just where this particular video appears.
