If you can, overlap the music just a bit where one ends and the next begins. Another way to do it is to create a 5- or 10-second stretch of silence as an audio file, which you can insert between two "real" song files and create an overlap so you don't lose your carefully done timing.

If you don't have a sound editor, you can download Audacity for free, and with it, you can create that silent little clip. Somewhere on this forum are instructions for doing this--I think Mikey did it, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure what you'd search on to find it. (I can be pretty useless at times.)

Not at all! I appreciate any help.

I normally do overlap music tracks. Audacity . . . . . I have it on my hard drive - but as yet never used it! More to the point, I don't know how to!! Must try harder.

You should get into Audacity at least enough to do basic stuff. You'll thank yourself. In the meantime, and if you want, I can create a silent track for you.

Hi Barbara . . . . I must get into Audacity, I have only had ProShow for about a year now so I am still feeling my feet! It’s very kind of you to create a silent clip, I would like that. Apart from it being silent . . . . pardon my ignorance but what is the difference between it and leaving a space between tracks?

Should I add my email address, I could then delete it later

PS I see you are in E Greenbush NY, we will be not too far from you in October, we are spending a couple of nights in Arlington, Southern Vermont during a three week road trip around New England!

Your PM awaits you!

Though the clip may be silent, it nevertheless has a beginning and an end, and it's those starts and stops that can periodically cause problems.

You'll definitely be a whole lot closer to me than you are right now! You're also going to be in Vermont during autumn, its most beautiful season. All those maple trees light up the world with their color.
