PS Freezing
Hi, I have replaced my old IDE dvd drive with a new SATA drive, connected to the motherboard and have watched a dvd on it so it works... When I come to create a dvd in ps gold it freezes. I have updated to the most recent driver update but it still freezes. Any help greatly appreciated.

Have you tried outputting an ISO (instead of burning straight to DVD)? If you can create an ISO your show and its files should be OK. When you have an ISO, use IMGburn to burn your DVD (burn to an RW first in case there is a problem).

Hi, I can't even create an ISO as when the new dvd drive is connected it freezes the program at the stage where you create. I can use an external dvd drive and burn shows no problem, something is not liking my new dvd writer!!!

Richard,
I can't think of a quick way of sorting this and it may be that you have a faulty or incompatible drive. It might save time if you contact Photodex Support describing the problem and giving them info about your PSG version, DVD drive & PC.
They might know of any issues with that drive or be able to suggest what to do.
Perhaps someone else here can suggest an answer.
Sorry.

Hi Tony, No worries thanks for the advice anyway. I have sent a msg to support so will hopefully hear from them soon.
Thanks Richard.

The program doesn't use or need your dvd drive to make an ISO file. At least it shouldn't since the ISO is only being created as a file on your hard drive. I suspect something is going on unrelated to PSG.
