Soundtrack shows up RED in Timeline
Really confused. I'm doing a slideshow for about the 10th time, with different set of pictures set to the same music track. This time, the sound is garbled and the soundtrack at bottom of screen shows us partly in red, obviously showing an error but I've no idea why or what this means.
I removed the soundtrack, went back to my original version of the music and loaded that - but same result - red in places and playing garbled! Its only 3 mins long, 40 images, nothing fancy.
Any help much appreciated.

Eileen, my suspicion is that you misfired and placed the sound file in both a slide and the soundtrack. Check to see if there's a little speaker icon in any of your slides, no doubt at the beginning. A red waveform is used for sound clips in slides.

Oh Barbara - thank you SOOOO much, that's exactly what happened, tho I've no idea how!
I removed that link and its perfect and green again.
I could hug you - I was so frustrated!
Have a great day - Eileen!

Believe me, I've experienced similar frustrations, most of them caused by my own little self, which I discover only after I've cursed out the world. Quite humiliating.

People think we are so clever when we pick right up on these problems. What they usually don't realize is we pick up so quick because we have done it to ourselves a number of times and finally learned to NOT do it (yes, I speak from experience ! )
