Trouble emailing show

Postby Barnum » Sun Jan 01, 2012 2:16 pm

Also tried to email show, but get the following message...

The "to" address is not acceptable t the target mail server. Some mail (SMTP) servers require a POP3 login.
Make sure your POP3 configuration is correct in the preferences.

Can some explain what this means please? Have never tried to email or upload to YouTube. Would like very much to send this to someone tonight.

Thanks as always

G'day Barnum

Have you set up your email in the Proshow program? Go to Edit, Preferences, Internet, and then set your outgoing mail server to what ever yours is.

Regards

G'day again

The info will be in your email program most likley under Accounts, Properties, Server. It's hard to be sure without knowing what your email program is. You mighy need to get the person who set up your PC to help. Or you might be able to call your internet provider and ask them.

Finally found the information and entered where required. Not I get the following message:

the connection to the server was unexpectedly disconnected. some mail (smtp) servers require a POP3 login. Make sure your POP3 configuation is correct in preferences.

If I do not get an answer or if I fail one more time...done. Much too frustrating.

Is the file you're trying to email an exe file? If it is, most ISP's will not accept an email with an exe attachment. You'll have to put it in a zip or rar file first.

Also, nowadays most ISP's limit the attachment file size to 25MB.

Thought so... but in any case it's too late now. I gave up trying....
Think I may need however to uninstall Pro Show and then reinstall to fix the errors messags that now come up....all the result of this effort. Thanks all for your help.
