Play slideshow on MAC
Hi,
i would like to play slideshow created with PSG on a MAC BOOK PRO for a projector that is far of my house.
The best output format for me is .exe because i can customize the size (1600*1066).
I tried to make a DVD output but i have a very loss on quality may be for the resize on 4/3 or 16/9.
Wich is the best way? Is Darwine a solution? I don't want to use Parallels or others because the MAc is "property" of my daughter.
Any suggestion?
thanks for advice.

Re: Play slideshow on MAC
EXE files are a Windows file and can only be run using a program like Bootcamp or Parallels on a Mac.
There are other options besides this one, but you might want to try the following:
1) Click on "Create" in the toolbar and then select "Video File"
2) Change "Type" to "Custom"
3) Select "MPEG 4 AVC" for your "Format"
4) Adjust the "Resolution" to the size you want. Keep in mind that if you use variables that aren't 16:9 or 4:3 you will be distorting your images in the final output. Since you mentioned 1600 x 1066, I would suggest 1600 x 900 for 16:9 shows, or 1333x 1000 for 4:3 shows. Just pick the one that uses the aspect ratio the show was created with.
5) All other settings can be left at their default if you like
This will create an MP4 file that can be played on any Mac.

I just caught that you're using Gold. I don't have Gold installed to check, but I thought mp4 was an available output option.
Have you tried selecting "QuickTime" as an option?

Supported output formats for Gold:
File Formats
.AVI Windows video file
.EXE Windows executable application
.SCR Windows screen saver
.MPG MPEG 1 video file
.MPG MPEG 2 video file
.WMV Windows Video
.MOV Quicktime Video
.FLV Flash Video
.ISO CD / DVD image file
.CUE Video CD cue/bin image
.PX Streaming web show
.3GP Video for phones
The MPG format, flash and QuickTime should, I think, work.
