Living In The Promiseland

Postby 57Corvette » Tue Aug 14, 2007 9:01 am

I decided to get back to my social conscience and created this new show, Living In The promiseland. This is a 3 1/2 minuet show with very little in the way of special effects. As always, your thoughts or critiques are welcome.

Thank you for sharing the show. Living in South East Asia, I meet homeless people daily. What brakes my heart is to see children living in the streets. We have alot to give them. Thanks again for sharing this important issue this way. Photos speak.

Rafael,

Thanks for taking a look ........ I think I would have a difficult time photographing homeless children. That would indeed be a very depression show. Thanks for writing me ......

Cowboy your photography is really awesome. You capture feelings and not just pictures. Nice photoshopping as well. As usual a very emotion invoking show. I am having a really hard time getting a chance to watch shows so I might get to one or two a day and there is such an abundance!! As we speak I am off to create an "Annual BBQ" show with about 200 pictures. Then there is the 600 picture wedding show in the background lurking....love you lots, hope to talk soon it's been so long! hugs Jan

Jan,

Hey girlfriend ...... as your message came to me, I was listening to you sing Maybe Baby ......... must be Karma. Wish my sound card would let me record .... but it just doesn't work. Thought I'd sign a duet with you ......... well maybe some day.

Thanks for taking a look at the latest show .......hope your BBQ is a great one.

Big hugs,

Bob there are a number of utilities that will do what you want -- check
out "Total Recorder" from Highcriteria --- http://www.highcriteria.com/
(alaskaninexile put me onto that one -- he used it to capture various
songs etc that you can only find on the web etc). :D

mikey,

I tried to set up my computer to sign on this site  .... but on playback, you can't heard the pre-recorded music and you can barely hear me. (that might be a good thing) I don't think I have the right sound card for this ....... and again, that may be a good thing!!.

Strange -- I have used that utility a number of times (I purchased a copy
a while back) and it worked quite well for me -- it sticks a "wedge" if you will
between the sound from the OS and the actual drivers to the sound card and
depending on how you have it configured, can capture almost anything going
in whichever direction (although I did find their configuration interface a bit
confusing (but since that is my normal state anyway, that was OK ! ).

Nice theme show

Bob, that was a great idea and nicely done. If I may be so bold as to mention one teeny tiny thing... The two pages with a lot of text on them went by a little faster that I can read with only one eye. What if, you were to take that same text... and spread it out over four or five slides. You leave the images on screen for a nice amount of time already, then we would have a photo and some text to feast our "eye" upon. But I really did enjoy that show. I always look forward to your shows. They are all memory makers. Blessings, your one eyed friend, ~al
