Auto Fantasies 3

Postby 57Corvette » Wed Aug 01, 2007 12:51 pm

For those of you not tired of watching my Auto Fantasies series ...... here is the third installment. The opening might be a surprise to those of you who are familiar with my style of work. While I am working on two other shows ... I keep coming back to these car shows because I have a lot of fun with them. Comments are always welcome. Here is the link:

It was a work of art !

On the weekend, my husband and I drove down the "Telegraph Classic Car Cruise" in Detroit and we are still in awe of all the beautiful cars.

Very enjoyable show!

Bob, your shows just keep getting better and better. Loved this one. (The intro was way cool, too).

Hi Bob,

Loved your intro, too! What a great job, as always. Your special effects are really "cool" and what awesome backgrounds. Bet this took a lot of time to put together.

What an artist!!

Loved it!

Hello Bob,
What a wonderful show. I Just loved it from start to finish. I almost got up and jitterbuged. I don't know anyone that could get tired of a show like this, and if there is, they don't have to hit the link. Thanks for sharing.

People won't get tired of seeing quality shows and this is a quality show. It doesn't surprise me that even folks that have no interest in cars or that era continue to watch your shows as they are interesting and for me bring back memories of that time in my life. Great job! Keep em coming 8)

Hey Bob that was a great show !! How did you create the
intro with the 'droid wandering around??

The only thing I would change is right at the front, where
it says "Auto Fantasies", the background cuts across it so
it more or less reads "Auto Fartasies" (unless of course you
meant it to do that ?!? ). Just shift it a bit :D

Certainly brought back the old memories - like when
service stations actually could service the car (or even do
things like check the oil, wash the windshield etc -- I worked
in one for a couple of years -- back when we actually did that
sort of thing !!)

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
mikey (PSP6, Photoshop CS6, Vegas Pro 14, Acid 7, BluffTitler, Nikon D300s, D810)
Lots of PIC and Arduino microprocessor stuff too !!

mikey,

Thanks for watching and writing me ...... you know, I thought the same thing when I saw the title of the show. I kept looking at it and then .... just forgot to change it. Well, rather than change it and then have to re-post a new url link, I think I'll let it go for now ......... but thanks for pointing it out to me.

I know what you mean regarding gas stations ............ I really like to place cars in front of old or retro filling stations. But boy, are those photos difficult to find. .... at least ones high enough in quality to use with modern photos of cars. Thanks again for watching .........

My daddy owned one back when I was 10 and we had to help. Check the oil, fill the tanks, Wash the windows, put air in the tires, guide cars into the garage for the lift, grease the cars, and tend the register if needed. My dad used to complain that we used to "eat" up all the profits because we were always munching on a bag of chips or drinking sodas. We even used to sell "white gas" and Kerosene. This was back when route 66 was still popular before the freeway routed all traffic past the town of Gallup, New Mexico.

Bob,
I finally had the chance to view this. It was fantastic!!! I loved the cars, the music , the tempo. But most of all, I loved the memories. I. like you, remember when most of that Detroit hardware was new. I remember my 63 Vette (roadster, not coupe). I remember the fun of tinkering, breaking stuff and then figuring it out and fixing it. We can't really do that with today's iron.

Thanx for a great walk down memory lane. Great job.
