Hi,
On arriving in Etretat, in Lower Normandy, the existence of this garden open to the public is located on the cliff. Well located next to the chapel of the Sailors, it dominates the landscape that one glimpses at the mercy of the visit. The impeccable surroundings suggest the location of the place that one discovers only after the entrance crossed. Settled on the hill that descends from the cliff to the road, the already-planted slope of beautiful trees around the pretty villa Roxelane offered the Russian landscape architect Alexander Grivko a base to exert his immense talent. Topiaries carved in successive waves evoke the sea, walls and arches of yewed trees evoke the cliffs while a landscape of carved alaeagnus boxes offers real caskets to spectacular sculptures of the Spanish Samuel Salcedo. A nice place to take a nap, sleep, doze, dream.
