Isoh Impact Internation Tea and Gingerbread Party

Postby Bevie » Mon Dec 07, 2015 3:02 pm

My husband had the honor of photographing forhttp://www.isohimpact.org this past Saturday for their annual Gingerbread Party to raise money for warm winter clothing for children. This is a great organization that provides help for those in need locally, nationally and internationally.

Many of the slide styles I used came from Jennifer Clark's Floating Styles for a Wedding. I LOVE her work :D

So here's the show - let me know what you think :D

The style/s really compliments the slideshow and was skillfully put together. Loved the vivid colours and the soothing music goes well with the show.
there is something which I think ought to be improved. I found the snowflakes going down till ~40s to be overwhelming and would tone them down as you did in the rest of the show.

Think your right :D I fussed over that slide for quite awhile but my problem was that I wanted the photos to move down not up. It's a little 'disorienting' with the photos and snowflakes moving in opposite directions. I have to admit that the snowflakes are a bit 'overwhelming' - big isn't always better : D I really 'fell in love' with that graphic and the wood background as well ( that came from Pixabay.com) and when that happens sometimes I get carried away : D

Did you notice that the one 'floating style' (near the beginning of the video) that moved to the left - that there was a gap between the wide photo and the tall photo? I don't think it was in the slide style. I think I might have removed the vignette and then changed my mind and added it back but I might have changed the vignette's size and created the gap. I didn't notice it until I handed off the file to IsohImpact. Hope they didn't

I might go back and do some adjustments to that snowflake slide that you mentioned - to see what I can come up with.

Thanks again for your suggestion, it really helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of : D
