3 1/2 minutes nothing objectionable
Thank s for the comment The show didn't have a story line nor any special effects but I was hoping there was a picture for every taste
Anyway I happen to use CS 6 BUT I'm confident the basket weave can be done in elements
I used an action which I dowloladed from www.panosfx.com A long time ago
If I had to do this manually I'd make a new document (file New) a bit larger than the original image and make it black.
Then I'd start selecting the strips from the original image (probably with the rectangular marqee tool ) and start pasting (edit copy > edit paste) them up as layers into the new document
Might have to use the edit transform tool to bow them a bit Ill try it tomorrow
Good news and bad news
You can do this in elements BUTit's more complicated to explain than to do
I think this is the first case Ive seen where it's easier to do the old way than with a computer
In the old days I'd make two prints, get a razor knife and cut one with vertical strips, and one with horizontal strips
weave em and re photograph it Wallah done !
Thanks! But don't worry about it--I think I much more enjoy watching such effects than trying to create them myself (sort of like watching magic but not really wanting to know how it's done!).
