Breaking slide styles
This is for anyone who has ever torn their hair out trying to replace just one layer in a slide style with an image without that image automatically populating a second or even more layers.

And no, I didn't figure this one out on my own. It comes straight from the Photodex horse's mouth.

Thanks for posting ...
Re: Breaking slide styles
You're entirely welcome. I passed on the information because I tore my hair out trying to solve the problem before deciding to ask those who might know. One bald woman is more than enough.

Stephanie, laughter is what keeps us glued together.
Pd, I only passed on the tip. There's another way to do it, but the work is small only if the layer you're trying to replace isn't loaded with intricate keyframes and behaviors: Write down its settings, bring in the new layer, give it the same settings, then delete the original layer.

Good tip.
A wise man, or woman, will bookmark that link because 9 months form now when you REALLY need it, you'll never be able to find it or this thread.

Re: Breaking slide styles
Joe, you're absolutely right about bookmarking things. Of course, there's the problem of remembering that you actually bookmarked it. Just the other day I spent a huge hunk of time looking for the answer to something, and only after I found it did I spot the bookmark for it. I need to bookmark my memory so I can find it when I need it.
