Couple new ones at ProShowThink

Wed Jul 07, 2010 10:23 am

It's too darned hot here in the Northeast, and so I've been cogitating and playing in between going down to the basement to cool off or out to the kitchen to pretend I want something from the fridge. Playtime has resulted in a few additions to the ProShowThink blog:

Backgrounds from Plasma

Nicer Drop Shadows

The heat wave is supposed to last all the rest of the week, so maybe I'll find more things to play with and tell you about. Or maybe I'll just go climb into the fridge and sit on the lettuce.

Thanks, Iris. It also gives me something to do other than sit on lettuce. :D

Thanks Barb, I almost got it to work, I just didn't
get the right shade of blue. I am just not very artistic.
But I'll keep trying

Forrest, that was just an example using blue to create a sky. Instead of trying to make it look like anything at all, pick a color you really like, then just play with the plasma masks, seeing what sorts of effects you can create. I tried a number of them before something struck me as being rather cool looking. I throw out more stuff than I ever keep. :D

Thank you Barbara
As a new comer to PSP I have been working my way slowly through the hints and tips and I have learnt so much from all your tutorials

Chris, you're going to come out the other end with a wonderful working knowledge of the software because there are so many wonderful tutorials on both the forum and linked to from the forum. When I started out, I read and watched everything, and then I asked a multitude of questions. At the time, there wasn't the totally revamped manual from Photodex, but even so, it can't have all the little nuances that help us do just what we're imagining. I'm glad the articles over at ProShowThink have been part of your learning process. :D
