Embedding YouTube in web site

Postby BarbaraC » Fri Jun 19, 2009 8:02 am

I have everything set up just as I want it except for one thing: When the video is done playing, it shows little sliding boxes of other videos (not mine) down at the bottom. Is there a way to get rid of all the extraneous stuff so that my video plays and then goes back to just the black box with the play arrow sitting in the middle of it?

Barbara:

Add the following code to the end of your YouTube code:

Code: Select all
&rel=0

Mike, all I've done is insert the URL. Do I place "&rel=0" at the end of the URL?

I haven't tried embedding a YouTube video without using the "embed" code, but I would guess that you could add the extra code to the end of the URL, too. Give it a shot and see what happens.

Mike, while waiting for you to show back up, I gave it a shot. I added that little speck of code into what looked as if it was the most likely place, and it was. Thank you so much. The video had a really low-class look to it, and now it's dining with the upper-crust. :D
