Challenge instead of contest?

Postby BarbaraC » Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:44 am

This isn't my idea, though I'm adopting it as a good one. When I first showed up at the forum, I looked at "Contests" and decided immediately to avoid them completely because I wasn't here to compete with other members. After a while, I realized that they weren't really contests at all. It was suggested elsewhere that "Challenges" might be a better name for it. It's quite possible newcomers might have the same first impression that I did.

Anyone else with thoughts about this? Mike Gregg in particular?

I've been meaning to change it, but just hadn't taken the time to do so. Both areas have been updated to read as challenges instead of contests.

Thanks Barbara and Mike, yeah that is exactly how I felt - being new to this forum and PSP, I cannot hold a candle to most of you - so from a contest standpoint - I would have avoided.

However, as a challenge, I feel comfortable - and actually just submited my Sept/Oct slideshow.

I look forward to the constructive comments - and hope to learn from them!

Thanks again!!!
