I have no memory of the name Mason Williams

A sure sign that you're a whole lot younger than I am. :D

I should remember that name, I mean I was already in highschool when that song came out in 1968. I've got two older sisters that were always playing music around the house, one born in 1939, and another in 1945. Why I do not remember the name Mason Williams is beyond me. I have no excuse not to remember his name now however

I still have the record album that contains "Classical Gas." One of these days--if my son ever does the small soldering job his mixer requires--I'm going to translate the whole thing into digital. By the way, your 1945 sister and I were born the same year, so now I suspect you aren't that much younger than I am.

I've done a lot of that these past few years. I used a Como tune in my oldest sisters 50th Wedding Anniversary slide show.

Poor Tiby. We've hijacked this thread, but I simply have to ask this question: how was the quality going from vinyl to digital?

Yes, my apologies to tiby. Sorry for the hi jak. So I took it upon myself to watch your show. Usually I can't because of my dial up connection, but this show was only 3mb so I viewed it. Enjoyed your show. Nice music. Yes, Classical Gas I remember it well. Weird that I can't remember the name Mason Williams. Did you know the original name of the song was Classical Gasoline?. Classical Gas was a typo and the name stuck. Anyway, nice show tiby, well done.

Nicely done Tiby,

I don't do much with PS filters but I can see you used a variety of effects. If that bridge is something you have access to I see some nice patterns in the railing. Looks like a nice subject to keep coming back to in different seasons and light conditions.

Jim
