June Challenge by STUMPY

Postby Stumpy » Sat May 24, 2008 4:22 am

Go on then....i'll get the ball rolling.

I think i spent more time manipulating the photos in Photoshop than i did putting the show together but i think i managed it....just

It's just under 2 mins in length and 6.58MB.

Hope you enjoy.

Stuart

Stuart,

That was pretty good. The scene is so pretty and picturesque of the old country! My favorite effects were the wood cut and the gradient. :)

GREAT JOB..... I loved the photo and all the effects.
But the way you did the ending was my favorite.
Thanks for getting the ball rolling.
I need to be thinking...

Thanks...i found this one a tough one to do because of the lack of photos. I can't win though....i've been moaning for the last few weeks because i haven't had enough photos to do a show

And i'm afraid that the house isn't mine Hunny....far from it  .

It's a cottage that stands by the river in Flatford Mills on the Suffolk / Essex border. If you are familiar with the artist Constable, then you will know that he painted a number of paintings there many, many years ago.

Hey Stumpy, I had 2 ideas for my show.
One was a photo of MY house.
So, if I pick that subject, don't think I copied you :!: :D

Stuart, that was a load of fun to watch. I'll bet you had fun playing around with everything from classic effects to the psychedelic ones...or are you still on those pills?

Also, that was really nice piano jazz.

(Wish I lived in a cute little cottage like that. It would have a cute little garden with cute little carrots until they were found be the cute little rabbits.)

Hey Stumpy,
Finally a challenge! Smiles. I am so glad you got this jumpstarted. Clever usage of transitions and captions. Your approach to showcasing the various ways to manipulate single images was well done. You are one creative dude!

Hugs,
Stephanie

I knew that book i bought would come in handy. I picked up a copy of the Top 100 tips & tricks for Photoshop and couldn't get over what was in there. There are walkthoughs for manipulation, layers & masks, text effects, etc. Best buy i've made in a long while.

When i get a bit of time i'll put something up on how to do the woodcut effect, this seems to be a popular one.

Cheers

Stuart, take a look at the Photoshop Wow! books at Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywor ... lg6izxe9_e

Also, take an extremely close look at the Scott Kelby books:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b?url ... by&x=0&y=0

You'll end up as a special-effects maniac.
