My first attempt...

Postby Stumpy » Sat Feb 16, 2008 9:09 am

After a lot of thought i couldn't think of a theme so i just threw in a few photos and went for it....actually that's a lie, every time i thought of a theme somebody would beat me to it

It took a while because i've got some memory issues at the moment (not mine) so one of the frames does judder a little bit.

So here it is and please be gentle with the comments.....it's my first posting :)

p.s i can't get that tune out of my head, it's driving me crazy

Stu,
Theme or no theme, I am glad you decided to go ahead and join in on the fun. Nice entry! I like the way your bench left the scene. :D

I like it !! For some reason, (and this will definitely date me ... ) it
reminded me of the old "magic eye" or "tuning eye" tubes that many
of the old tube (and I mean old) radios had where you tuned it
for the best fan shape on the tube. Worked well, synched to the
music very nicely. I too loved the bench exit !

Not trying to be repetitive, but I really liked the bench exit. In conjunction with the music, it was like it was being sucked into some kind of vortex!

Good job! You need to post more once you get that computer working 100%!

Wow. If that was your first show then I can't wait to see what's next. Not sure how you did the vortex but that was very cool.

Stu -

I really liked your show and if that is just a first attempt Kudos!

The reason I liked it was because of the flowers and for the last 2 days I have been fuming about flowers!

I don’t want to get off topic but it all stems (pardon the pun) from the flowers I ordered my girl friend for Valentine’s Day from FTD. I never use them but when they offered to give you 25 miles for every dollar spent with them on flowers, how could I resist?

The problem was they never arrived for Valentine’s Day…….. and I was burring mad. :x

All of their customer service lines were jammed because of the holiday volume and I finally had to resort to calling the CEO of FTD to get the freakin’ flowers delivered. Luckily they upgraded the arrangement!

I digress…..but after seeing your show, it sort of renewed my faith in flowers. BTW, my girl friend loved them too. :D

Fun show, looking forward to your future ones.

Great job Stu!! You had some really neat effects and I especially loved when the bench kind of took off! How did you achieve that??

I look forward to future shows!!

Thanks for the comments...after the hassle my laptop has been giving me i've finally got a smile on my face again :D

The bench effect was quite easy to do really (and a fluke with the end result).

9 layers of the bench photo were used in total.

Each layers "start position" size was the same = 100x100 but the "ending position" size decreased in 10s
(100x100 - 90x90...100x100 - 80x80...100x100 - 70x70 etc...)starting with layer #9 and working back.

Then each layers "ending position" was rotated one notch on the slide bar, one notch more than the previous layer, again starting with layer #9.
(0.0 - 3.6...0.0 - 7.2...0.0 - 10.8 etc...)

All the layers ran from the same start time (no changes on key frames).

I don't know if this is understandable but i've now got cramp in my fingers

Looking forward to seeing other peoples attempts with this

That's one of those transitions worth making into a template and saving so you can use it
again (all you have to do is change the pictures).
