Plean Country Park

Postby Lavina Molnar » Wed Aug 29, 2007 3:37 pm

Hi All

I wanted to share this with you. Six and a half minutes, with no 'frills' whatsoever! It's a bit of a record of our first ever visit to a nearby 'park' last Sunday. A beautifully relaxing few acres, no climbing and no stairs - heaven sent for me! I hope I've told its story well enough. Hope you enjoy the walk!

Lavina,
What a nice retreat. Great to see "nature reclaiming" its own.

What time of day were you there? It looks like you were able to find some good light ... the photos are great.
BTW, what is a Bing?

Hi Lavina,

Very well done, excellent 'photos and choice of music. I particularly enjoy see pictures of trees.

Jerry
- I believe a 'bing' is a heap or pile, especially of waste from a coal-mine.

Very nice stroll through the park. Only thing I might change
would be to use a bolder font and turn on outline perhaps - it
was a bit difficult to read at times against the background.

Bob, Jerry, Brenda, Raymond, Ken & Mikey for making comment. Am happy you enjoyed the walk!

Jerry - Brenda has explained 'bing' adequately (thanks Brenda). I wonder what they are called your side of the water. They are such unsightly heaps while a mine is in operation - thank the stars for Nature! Now with pits being long gone here we have quite a series of 'new' little hills!

Mikey - you make a very good point re: making the text stand out more. I'll slap my wrist and sort it pronto!

Thanks again

PERFECT. Please leave it posted - this is a marvelously marvelous de-stressor!!!!! Beautiful photos, music, etc. It is amazing what Mother Nature can accomplish in spite of man! I believe the piles would be called "slag heaps" or "slag piles" in the U.S. - at least where I came from - those unsightly "garbage" dumps for coal, etc. Really makes them sound horrible, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing.
