Black Velvet

Postby Jerry Cole » Wed Aug 08, 2007 8:08 pm

This small show (about 5 minutes) is a tribute to a man who changed our world ... January 8, 1935 - August 16, 1977.
It is dedicated to a friend who is still one of his devoted fans.

Very nice Jerry -- you did an excellent job putting that together.
It flowed very nice and had a good "feel" to it.
One of those you just enjoy watching :D

Jerry. I liked it a lot - but just you wait till Bob sees it! He's gonna go nuts! Nicely done. ~al

Jerry,

I'm not a fan of Elvis but watched the whole thing. You used some really nice technique in the show - well done!

Hi Jerry,

I am not an Elvis fan either but I watched the whole thing. It was great. I loved your different techniques. Was this done using Gold or Producer? I have a couple of technique questions.......the biggest one is this......right near the very end of the show you have a collage of pictures with a moving rectangle. As the rectangle moves the colors sharpen in the frame but fade out as it moves. How is that done? I have seen it in another show but can't remember which one. Thanks.

Beth

figured it out

Hi Jerry,

I figured out how to do what I asked you about. I used power point (as usual) and then just played with transparancies. I will post a sample in a little while

Thanks to Mikey, Debbie, Al, Beth, and Bob

Glad you enjoyed this little show. I have a friend that collects all sorts of Elvi (is that plural for Elvis?) I enjoyed his music in the early years, not so much a fan in the last years. I did the show now because the anniverary of his death is in about a week

Bob, I never did find a way to work in the many Graceland photos I have, but oh well ...Looking forward to your show.
Beth, The show was done in PSG .. I'm real curious about Producer though!
Al, I tried to keep a lot of your previous advise in mind when doing the show.
Mikey, Thanks for your kind words about the flow and feel ... that was the main point as far as I was concerned.
Debbie, Thank you, glad the show was enjoyable even to a "non-fan" of Elvis.

Thanks to all others who took the time to view the show without comment.

Jerry-

I enjoyed the show very much. I'm another one not big on Elvis, but liked the presentation nonetheless.

Great job,

Scott
