Gold's Tilt and Rotation Center Examples
Rotation Center changes have been available to Producer users for over 2 years now. Most people haven't used this feature because they don't know how. Since this feature is LAYER RELATED, anytime the image aspect, size, or location changes, the screen location around which you want to rotate the layer changes. As long as the rotation center remains within the layer, all is well. 50 still refers to the right or bottom and -50 still refers to the left or top (depending upon whether it's rotation center x or rotation center y). Once you know how to reference a particular screen location (or a location relative to the layer) to use as a rotation center, some interesting things become possible. For how to use this feature, read this: http://fenimorephotovideos.com/blog/?page_id=360
The new TILT feature offers something that helps give the impression of depth (a Z-axis). But, to effectively use it, you need to also use rotation center. This is a short demonstration of some of what you can now do in GOLD. This show was built entirely in Gold. The effects are similar to some I created for use in Producer.
