Hot Chili and Cool Cars

Postby mfalco » Sun Sep 19, 2010 6:40 am

Images of Hot Chili and Cool Cars event that my wife and I attended. The images in this show are ones that I did not use on my website and I wanted to do something with them. So I pieced them into a slideshow with some music. It's only 2.5 minutes long. Nothing fancy.

Hi Marty,

Cute show. I wasn't able to catch this event yesterday because I was in Sacramento. Nice cars indeed. What a nice day it was for an event like that! :D

Thanks for sharing.

Deborah,
Thanks for you comment on the show.
Yes it was a nice day and we had a good time. Were you taking pictures in Sac or buisness?

Take care

Actually the Sacramento Bee had a free seminar on landscape photography by Dave Henry who works for the Bee and freelances for Canon. I'd like to make it up to the Sierra's this year to get some pictures from some places that I've never had the chance to capture before. I'm not sure I'll make it but it was worth going to the seminar.

If I go, I'd think I'd need to get a few filters first, or at least a polarizing filter. $$$ :( I'm having a hard time justifying the purchase as I'm not into landscapes that much. But to make the trip and come back with dull, yucky pictures because I needed the filters to get the color to pop would be a waste of money too. I don't want to take a bazillion pictures and then have to "fix" them afterward if I can help it.

Maybe a long day's drive through Carson Pass during peak color will suffice. Dunno yet.

The website he described is a huge project they've undertaken for the benefit of photographers that want the latest report on the timing of the color for weekend trips.

If you're interested, you can read more about it in this link:

http://www.sacbee.com/leaves/

Timing and location is everything. He said if you're lucky you may get a week at peak color for shots, after that, it's usually nothing but sticks.

Thanks Deborah. I will definetly check it out. I hope you get to go and have the filters you need. At least look at it as a time to just relax and take that kinda Sunday drive.

Chrissy,
I am sooooo glad Ed is doing better. God Bless him and you. Thank you for your comment.
I'll keep in touch.

Marty
