Butterflies 1:37 minutes

Postby lindonalta » Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:26 am

My first show - not sure if I created the link properly. Comments on how to improve welcome - is there too much zooming?

Your butterfly show link doesn't work. Click on your show and copy only the address that comes up in the address box of your browser and it should work.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show - you have some lovely photos of butterflies! Loved the music... thank you for sharing.
It was so nice to have a show small enough in file size for me to be able to watch! :D

Loved you show about butterflies. I am wondering if the photos were taken in your garden or maybe a butterfly sanctuary. I remember seeing butterflies in our garden when I was a child but now we get excited to see a white moth!! You have so many beautiful species in your photographs.
I thought the music fitted in quite well.

The butterflies were at a butterfly pavilion in BC. It was an amazing experience. They were flying all over and would land on your nose, etc. Thanks for watching.

This was very pleasant - especially for your first show. Too much zooming? Yes, I think a bit. You could do the exact same show with just very slight zoom on each slide and I think it would be more soothing and give viewers a chance to focus on the beautiful colors and features of the butterflies. Good music choice. Nice job.

That was an enjoyable show. Good photos and the music was nice. I agree with Mark that smaller zooms would be an improvement, and that is easily fixed.

A nice first show!!

Hi !
Welcome to the group ! You did a great job for your first show. It is very simple, and very right in my opinion. I liked the zooms, because you kept a constant rate continuosly perfectly matched to the music. I believe that's why it does work for me. But as Mark and Bob said, you can never go wrong with more gentle zooms.
Perfect musical choice, and the whole show has nice a polished aspect hard to find in beginners.
Well done!

Thanks everyone.... took your advise and changed the zooms a bit. I agree that the gentler zooms are better.

Like everyone said, it is a really nice show. Your off to a good start. i do have one little suggestion. Insert a blank slide at the beginning of your show. Right clikc on slide list and choose insert blank slide). Set the first slide duration to at least 1/2-1 second. This way when the show is started, it isn't so abrupt. You can even choose a nice transition into the show.
