Susie Q Photography 3 mins 24secs

Postby kellysgreens » Mon Sep 14, 2009 4:41 pm

I am posting my first show. It was made as part of a presentation that I am giving to fellow photographers. The topic of the presentation is Defining Your Personal Style. This show is not necesarily part of the topic, but rather a chance to look at photos - the wrap-up activity.

mmmmm, I loved it.

Oh, Hi Kelly! Welcome aboard!

Beautiful! That show was so soothing. The photography was outstanding and the music was perfect. I loved the mood of both. Great combination. And, this is a big one... Thank you for not putting any motion in the show, it would have ruined it.

Thanks so much for sharing.

BTW, Did you know you can turn off that yellow "Proshow" at the begining?

I hope to see more of you and your shows!

thanks for looking and for your comments...

I have no idea how to get rid of the big yellow photodex...thought that was the price of advertising, but now realize most of the shows I have viewed do not have it... so, how'd you do it?

First off, let me tell you that I see your style as an "Environmental Portrait Photographer". This is a highly sought after specialty, so stick with it. You do nice work.

Secondly, to get rid of that nasty Photodex Banner, do this:

Open your show
Go to Share Show
Click on Shows
Un-check the box beside "Include Intro Show" where you see the yellow banner.
You could also leave it checked and choose your own intro banner.

Hope this helps...

Again, you do nice work. ~al

And now abideth faith, hope and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Thank you so much for your kind words...they do mean a lot to me.
I will get rid of that banner in future shows...I find the swish sound even more troublesome than the banner itself.

Kelly, you're a professional photographer, right? I can't imagine you're anything but. Your photography is just flat-out stunning, everything about it being right: composition, idea, knowing the right moment to open the shutter, and processing.

Your assignment is to learn all the ins and outs of the software so you can give your photography the best setting it can have. It deserves center stage.

Barbara,
You give me a smile so big I can't get it off! I personally feel I am on the border of amateur and pro...your comments make me smile and giggle with glee when others think I am a pro! I am actually a high school English teacher by day...
I find myself kind of stuck in a rut...I like the transition that I used the very most and just felt it fit the story I wanted to tell. I would like to learn and experiment with layers (?) and other imported "things" that I see here such as cimema, clotheslines, (sorry, I don't know what to call them).

The song is the theme song from Forrest Gump...Climax used it in one of her shows, and I like you, loved it!

The only difference between a professional and an amateur is money. If someone pays you, you're a pro. Quality is independent of money. I've seen some of the most gorgeous photography from amateurs, and some of the most awful trash from professionals. Your photography is money-worthy. And don't you dare argue with me!

Whatever bells and whistles you decide to play with, don't ever forget that they should never upstage the photos. They, not clever tricks, are what a show is all about. Ha! But we all definitely like to amuse ourselves with those tricks. I, myself, am a closet trickster. :D

Kelly

I loved the music you chose to bring your variety of excellent photos together. Your timing was good and I'm glad you kept it 'simple' - movement and a lot of fancy transitions would only have detracted from your pix. Very nicely done.
