The Sydney Opera House.

Postby Mokummer » Sun Aug 16, 2009 10:40 pm

Here is my new show for you to enjoy. :D

A most impressive building; a magnet for visitors from Australia and overseas.
From the large collection of photos I managed to make this a 6 minutes slide show.
The show is made in the 14x9 aspect ratio that I use for smaller LCD TV screens.
Of course comments are welcome.

The work commenced in 1959 and Sydney Opera House opened on 20 October 1973.

For those interested to find out more, photos and construction info here.

Your show on the Sydney Opera House brought back wonderful memories of a guided tour about 15 years ago. It was great to see part of our wonderful country spotlighted here on this forum. I was impressed with the night shots of the sails lit up. Fantastic. The building, like our new parliament house has so much significance and meaning built in to the design and structure.
I will leave the technical comments to those who know best but had to tell you that from my angle it was great to watch.

Cheers, Diane

Hi, Mokkumer,

your show was so lively - for a while I felt I was transported overthere.
What a delightful way to visit far away places !!!

Pleasant and mood-matching accompanying music, all well organized, fitting precise comments,
just enough facts to feel well informed,
and your night photographs were breath-away-taking !!!

Congratulation - great show,
and thank you for sharing it with us,

Alexandra

Hi Mokummer !
Your show is so nice to watch ! The music is just perfetc. Really liked everything about it.
But I think you totally don't need the words "the end" . You could perfectly finish your show with that nice ilustration you have on your last slide...
Great job !

Great show Bill !
I always wondered how it would look up close, and now I know more than just that ! I love these educational shows, and I noticed you 've got more, so I will be watching them soon.

Hi Mokummer !

Very professionally done!!

Where in the world did you find such great music that lasts 6 mins ????

Enjoyed your show immensely.

I spent 4 months in your country working on the US Moon exploration.

I was there when John Glenn was orbiting the earth.

Album Inspirational, track Amulet is the track I used. (Artist Medwyn Goodall)
They have a great collection of music (Copyright Free). You can listen to small sections of the tracks (all MP3) and order those individually; no need to get the whole album, all very reasonable priced.
They have a fantastic web site with all sorts of stuff on it. Carol and Barry are great people to deal with, highly recommended.
