to rename all the pictures from my camera(s). It even has a string substitution
feature so I can add "mikey" to pictures from my camera, "jan" to the pictures
from my wife etc. All names now sort by date/time. The format I use is as follows
DC_080329_1135_34__mikey.jpg for example where the 08 is 2008, the
03 is March, the 29 is the 29th and the time is 11:35 am and 34 seconds shot
with my camera (it takes the camera make from the EXIF and translates to
the user name with the string substitution). So far, this has worked very
well for me. YMMV
