Blur Fade In

I would love to see a Blur option added to the effects menu with Opacity, Brightness, Sharpness, etc. Just a simple gaussian blur that would allow an image to grow from blurred to sharp.

Jim, you can do a blur effect with only a touch of work in Photoshop. Apply heavy-duty gaussian blur to the image and, of course, save it as a separate file. Then use a cross-fade transition between the blurred and the sharp images, having the transition last however long you want it to take to go from blurry to clear.
