A fix is needed

Postby HunnyB » Wed Mar 05, 2008 10:18 am

Seems I am not the only one with this problem.
When you add a shadow to a image it will jump in the middle
of a slide like movement. Not good at all.
Needs to be fixed by Photodex.

I had a similar problem on my Flower Art show.

If i added a shadow to a png file the shadow wouldn't follow the path of the png file, it changed it's size on it's own and disappeared before the png file was faded out.

Flippin' annoying that was.

I does it with outlines too. I noticed it when there is a mask on a outlined layer with a transition in.

Photodex is aware of the problem ... something I reported to them last year ... and walked through it with them... it was repeatable. That doesn't mean they have an answer tho ... and it may not rise to the level of an immediate fix (too low on the totem pole of other fixes...).

Shadows and/or outlines will move of their own accord during layer movement... esp if the xy axes are not locked (or a "ghost version will). Borders on some images also have a mind of their own during movement sometimes as well. Like being many pixels thick during (and sometimes after) movement vs the default 1 px. Sometimes the border reverts back to the 1 px width at the conclusion of movement ... sometimes not.
