Caption background

Postby michaellowe » Mon Apr 22, 2013 6:39 pm

I have had every version of proshow Pro for a long time now and still love all that it offers, but three things I have waited for and still waiting for is the following:

1. When you create a caption it would be so nice if you could select a background color and adjust the opacity etc. Maybe even add a graphic file. (this would be a quick and easy way to show the text better over pictures that are hard to see text)

2. When you add a shape it would be so great to use a freeform method where you can size the shape in any direction for any size - length and width

3. Using the auto wizard - when you add a text frame to be able to choose the style and timing for each frame you add and this would be figured into the show timing also.

With regard to #1 on the list, there are several suggestions described in the thread below that can help make captions more visible.

#2: You can unlock the Zoom setting to manipulate height and width independent of each other. In addition to this, if you're using version 5, you can add Tilt to the object, both horizontal and vertical. Also, if you're using a .png file with transparency, you can create any kind of shape you like in an image editor--a freeform blob, for instance--and then manipulate its appearance using Zoom and Tilt.
