Dean Collins on lighting

I thought that I would bring this to the attention of those who may be interested in control of lighting as relates to tonal representation in photography.

I first encountered Dean Collins about thirty years ago through an educational series that he produced called "Fine Light". Unfortunately he died at a young age due to cancer. Recently I re-encountered the video of his presentation at Brooks Institute in 1991.

I may have to check this out ....

I recently had the opportunity to see the "One light workshop" with a fellow photographer. WOW, amazing DVD! Really explains things very easy to understand. He explains something then shows you the effects.

I have the Dean Collins DVDs. Highly recommended, if you want to really get good at flash photography and lighting.
