Thanks everyone - I knew there were some answers out there. I might not like them, but they're there and you have been great! Dick, I have several Maxxum lenses, so I guess what I really need is someone to give me $2,000 or so and I'll just get another camera!!!!! That's a pretty neat looking Sony, but they must be very proud of it!!! Again, thanks - I'm checking out some of the sites and info.

I've been looking at the Sony Alpha as a possible purchase myself:
Here it is on sale from Sony Select with an 18 to 200mm lens for $1600 total, not a bad combo.

It would be a stretch for me at the moment but maybe in a couple months. By then of course there might be something better out by Canon or Nikon, but I like the in-camera image stabilization of the Sony. Another camera you might consider is the Canon Rebel XTi. That may still be the one I purchase but the Sony is much better in lowlight. (The Canon Rebel is about 4 stops better than my current Canon Powershot S5 -- in other words, the quality I get at 200 ISO with the S5 I can get at 800 with the Rebel and probably about 1600 ISO with the Sony).
