Hummers in Alaska ...

Postby gpsmikey » Sun Jul 03, 2011 8:21 am

Here is a link worth taking the time to watch for all of those who like hummingbirds. Guy up in Alaska (well Ketchikan - which is more like the Seattle area (where I am)) shot them at his lodge. Great little video though with some amazing shots.

The beginning activity in the video was somewhat familiar because of watching just how argumentative and territorial those little dots of life can be.

Enjoyed every last (little) bit of it!

Mikey,

Thanks for posting the video. That is, indeed, a neat video--especially for those of us who watch their antics each summer. They are certainly neat little creatures.

Mikey:I know you have the birds in your area and have photographed them many times. Now, just get patience and do the same thing with filling your hand with nectar and start them coming to you. When the little beggars really come in force, have your wife start filming with the equipment you have set up.

Very nice presentation and as the all of the above say "thanks for posting."

Tom
