Time lapse information ...

Sat Jan 29, 2011 10:22 pm

Over in the Sony Vegas forum, they were discussing various time lapse stuff and one person had some information that may be useful to the folks here. Nikon has their Camera control software that runs on a laptop etc which I was aware of, but for the Canon folks, here was the comment that sounded interesting ...

However, almost any Canon Powershot camera can be modified for time-lapse. Google "CHDK" and you'll find..... a google of articles on the Canon Hack Development Kit, which includes a time-lapse hack.

(this was the thread over in the Sony Vegas forums - I loved the chapel one somebody linked in as well as the icicle growing outside one guys window:

GPSMikey, Hope you don't mind a little thread resurrection here. That link to the Sony Forum had another really interesting link to a Time-Lapse video of a protestant temple in Zeliszów, Poland by Patryk Kizny.

Wow, any ideas on how you get such fluid movement of panning while shooting in time-lapse mode like he did?

Edit: Oh wait, I found his workflow chart he posted and How To video. Cool stuff to say the least.
