Sharing a New Photoshopped Photo

Postby moehler » Mon Jun 28, 2010 5:19 pm

I worked on this on Saturday with the new CS5 and was pretty happy with how it turned out.

How cool is that?! Because of its small size, I couldn't tell if you'd created it with a real photo of a woman as a base or if it was done entirely from scratch, but I'd really love to know.

Sorry, for the smaller size, but I don't post large versions on publicly available site.

I was a photo from a senior pictures shoot on Friday.

Nicely done. Will the original model be receiving a copy?

I was an original piece done on spec. Her mom really loves it, so I would suppose that will be in her order. I'm anxious to put it into her slideshow this week and animate various parts of it. I would be cool if ProShow could import layers or groups of layers from a PSD into layers of a slideshow.

That, Mark, is something I've thought about too. It would certainly be easier than saving the layers as files and then arranging them back the way they were originally.

Mark,
My photoshop skills are very limited, but Photoshop will output each layer as a separate Jpeg/PNG/PSD that you could then use inside ProShow.
1. Choose File > Scripts > Export Layers To Files.

I know it works in CS3 and CS4.

-Vernon

Mark, what Vernon described is what I was referring to when I said "saving layers as files." If by any chance you never noticed it, race right over to the File menu because that script is a total godsend. I use it constantly.

Thanks guys. The nice thing about having ProShow import the layers v. having to export is the shear number of files. Some of my Photoshop files may have 40-80 layers, which can be a lot of files to manage.

And right there, Mark, is precisely why you and I have the same wish. :D
