Canon Vixia HF200 camcorder

Postby Valboo » Sat Feb 27, 2010 10:01 pm

I'm about ready to tear my hair out. . .I have a new Canon Vixia camcorder and I need to get a video format converter because the output is in a format I can't use. I've tried to find a download through Canon but to no avail. Do you know if Canon has such a beast? On my Nikon digital camera I was able to download a converter but can't seem to find any on Canon.

Any help will be appreciated.

Mpeg 4-AVC /H.264 is a widely recognized and used format. It is supported by Producer. Do you intend another use for the footage? Axara will convert the format.

Dear Val . . . if you are looking for a free option, I just did an Internet search and found a few free video converters. Among the programs that I found listed was the iWisoft Free Video Converter http://www.easy-video-converter.com/ which looks like it could do the job for you.

Take a look and see what you think and also do a search for yourself using the words: "Free AVCHD video converter".

Good luck
