First movie with the Canon 5D MK2

I know it is not a movie-forum.

But I am proud to show you my first movie with the Canon 5D mk2.

The movie is in full manual exposure with auto iso, HD quality and can be played in full screen mode.

The place is behind my house with my wife and Ljennah the Tibitan Terrier.

I was just wondering how much compression was done to the video we see online versus the out-of-camera video? Would it be possible to post a short 20 or 30 second clip in the uncompressed format just for comparison? The video you presented looks really good, but I do see some compression artifacts, especially in the grassy areas.

I posted on you tube, I don't know the compression factor.

Can you tell me the way to post a clip in the uncompressed format ???

The file from the cam is a mov file, I converted the file to avi.

That part I can put in a producer slide ???

Is that the way, I do it.?????????????

On my LCD screen the video is more than perfeeeeeect.

That my friend is a very awesome camera. The video was great. That is a nice camera. Now I know what I want for my next Christmas present. It's so sharp!. BTW, is that your wife? Your dog? I also was impressed with the birds under the bridge. What kind of bird was that (red on the beak area)

Very nice for a still camera, for sure. I presume the jerkiness is from the u tube compression, and that it played back smoothly on your computer. What lens were you using by the way? I believe one of the bird, the ones with white beaks, was a coot of some variety, and the one with a red beak acts like an avocet of some variety. What are they?.

The first one is right.
The last is common gallinule or morehen or water hen.
The L-glas 24- 104 mm IS from Canonn.

Here is 30 sec of video from Canon 5D mk2.

I converted the mov file to avi and make this test show in producer.

I believe the bird with the red beak is a common gallinule or in some areas known as moorhen.

Hi, can I please ask if you are downsampling the MOV file when you convert to AVI before putting into Proshow?

I am trying to play a full HD AVI in PSP and after 3 seconds the video hangs. If I play the AVI normally, through VLC then it is ok.

What software are you using to convert to AVI? I have Mediastudio and Sony Vegas Pro.

Hello Ab. Very, very nice. My comments have already been said by others above. It never surprises me at how you come up with something new in every post. I know you love that new toy and you are doing very well in learning all the bells and whistles of same.

Now............... I still think you need to pick up a brother for Ljennah!!!!!!!!! Beautiful dog and the background on this breed is outstanding reading. Oh, the mother and father you had pictures of sure are outstanding lookers. If you go to Tibet to pick up a brother for Ljennah, can I go along???????? Lowell Thomas Jr. visited our highschool many years ago and had just came back from Tibet. I have been facinated every since for years to go there by way of the Orient Express and horseback across the grasslands of Mongolia to get there.
