Hi,
We have a tutorial section in this forum, and I think that your demo will be more suitable in that section.
I don't quite follow your tutorial. You mean to say that your image is in fact a rectangle?
Is it a jpg with black background? That's what you are showing?
Because if it's round, and a png with no background, then....

Mel, then tell me please, why do you have to increase the size of the canvas?
Re: Rotating Image On Centre Axis.....Demo and How To
It seems the content has been removed. Sure would like to know how to do this. Anyone?

Check this thread. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=8889
In my post I have two pictures. The first one is showing a normal photo and the center of rotation is in the middle of the picture (arrow)
The second picture shows the canvas size changed. This changes the center of rotation (arrow)
In a nutshell the center of rotation is always based on the canvas size not the picture size. Most of the time they are the same but you can change the canvas and thereby change the axis point.
What I do is usually double the canvas size, at a minimum, and then use a combination of the Move tool and the Crop tool to position the picture so the point in the picture that I want to use as an axis point is located over the center axis of the canvas.
I use Photoshop but any graphics editor will have these tools.
