"See Thru Caption w/Transparent Foreground" 2 min
The opacity of the foreground changes from black, to semi-see-thru, to transparent.

Thank you very much for sharing.
Took some time to find given my poor search in the forum, but finally found it after viewing long ago.

Deb, this is awesome....could you maybe paste those instructions onto a word doc to compliment the vid? Loved the music, I am a blues freak.... Happy New Year....and put the doc in the member file with a link to the show??? Can't believe I missed the first time around! hugs Jan

Re: "See Thru Caption w/Transparent Foreground" 2 min
Hi Debbie,
Thanks for this one, I liked this a lot, and created one on my own system to save. However I tried to save it as a V4 Style, and the Texture on the caption did not appear with the style when I applied it to a new slide.
My caption works exactly as yours before creating a style, and the new one works fine apart from the fact that it shows a solid text caption (even though the "Use texture on caption" is selected, albeit with the "wrong" file name).
Do you have any idea if this is a "feature" of styles, or did I miss a step? I didn't see anywhere to make the texture a "replaceable" image like on the old templates options, but I may just have missed it.
Thanks
Colin

I can't tell you exactly why it didn't work for you in a template or style. I've never bothered to save this effect as a template or style.
I can only suggest to retrace your steps to see what's going on. My guess is that you need to select the same image file for texture on caption that you are using in your image layer -choose to zoom at 100% (same as the image layer, whatever) and choose"fill frame".
This tutorial was made a long time ago and seems to still work in V4 but I've never tried to save this effect as a "template". I haven't had time to play with V4 much yet and I've not messed around with the styles to save any customized versions of my own.
Probably the template/style feature doesn't allow for the saving of that image in the texture on caption area like it does on the regular image layer area. Go see if there is any image selected in the use texture on caption. If there is nothing there, select/insert the image you need to appear under the caption with settings as I described above in the caption settings window.
If this is something missing that Photodex forgot to put into styles part the program to make it work, I can't help you with that.

Re: "See Thru Caption w/Transparent Foreground" 2 min
I'm guessing that it is an ommission (whether deliberate or accidental) by Photodex.
I might raise it as a question with Support and see what response I get.
Thanks anyway.

Ok, I created a style for this. You can download in the member files section. Deb created the concept and the tutorial, I just turned it into a style for use PSP V4. All you need to do is insert a blank slide - apply this style - change from my image to yours - change the slide times to 1 sec transtions and an 18 sec clide. should work - let me know. I also created a powerpoint of Debbie's instruction for those of us who need the instruction beside us lol

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the tut. You make all your tuts very easy to follow. Saved it as a Slide Style. Works perfectly.
Thanks again.
