Re: "See Thru Caption w/Transparent Foreground" 2 min
Hi Jan,
I have tried all evening to get "See Through Text .pxs to be recoginzed by Producer 4. I have failed. Producer insists that the file is not a file recognized by Producer. Would you mind telling me how you get the file from the desktop to Producer? I am obviously on the wrong track again.
Thanks,
Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,
In the gray area below which says Drag Photo ...
Right Click/Insert/Blank Slide.
Than follow the instructions to the letter. Its daunting initially but you will get there.

You need to copy/move your .pxs file into the Styles directory first.
In Vista this is
C:\Program Files\Photodex\ProShowProducer\styles
I 'm fairly sure it is the same in XP.
Copy/move the file in there, and it will then appear as a style

Hi Rosemary
I would suggest you place all your personal “slide styles” in one directory that is were ever you like (no need to be under program file directory). Open PSP and then open any show, select “slide” tab to and then “slide options”. With the “slide options” window open then select “slide styles”. In the “slide styles” window you will see on the left the “manage styles” button, select it, and the “manage styles” window will open. Now you can use the “add’ button to add your style to the styles list. This way will allow you to backup your styles more easily also avoids a removal and re-install of PSP overwriting your styles.

Thanks Jan for for making Debs effort into a "Style". After your "amendment" and an outline on the caption, it works like a charm. Exactly what a newbie like me needed.

I like this a lot. I always struggle to integrate the captions into the show. This is a great technique. One thing I found though. If you image is not the same aspect ratio as your show, you need to set its layer to "Stretch to frame". Otherwise the caption and the image don't line up.

Yes, that's a good point. Both those need to be the same, else the effect doesn't look right. The example was created in 4:3.

This is perfect for my vaction video I'm working on. My only problem is the back ground picture that show through the letters is very dim. It is not bright like yours. As far as I can tell I followed all of your directions. Suggestions?
