Photodex Tut: Using Text as Images

Postby Aida » Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:21 am

In case some of you haven't seen this yet: Photodex posted a new tutorial today [02/27/2012]:
"Deconstructing the Demo - Part 2
USING TEXT AS IMAGES IN PROSHOW PRODUCER"

Here's the link:

Photodex:
Text (or type, as the design world calls it) as a visual element can be used in so many creative ways. If you’ve watched the ProShow Producer 5 demo, you may have noticed it features several rather unconventional uses of text. Some of these instances involve the use of text as images. That’s what we’re going to focus on for today’s installment of the Deconstructing the Demo series.

That's an excellent tutorial showing the wonders of turning text into a mask. Once this is done, the world's your oyster because you can use that mask to do all the things you can't possibly do with regular text. The tutorial may also help those still intimidated by masking to see how easy it really is.
