"Dissolving A Second Person"
The question of how to achieve this was brought up in this thread:

There are several solutions which vary according to the image being used and the end result desired. Mikey and Iris supplied some methods.
Here's how I might do it. This describes the basic layers. Users must have some basic knowledge of masking and key framing to make this work.

Thanks for the tutorial. I hadn't thought about doing a dissolve like this, but now that you have shown how easy it is I can think of all kinds of possibilities.
