Adding Multiple Sounds to a Single Slide (3:40)
Hi Everyone!
Enthusiast Mary (marmart) had asked me how I got several camera clicks to play in a single slide...without using an external editor. Well...it takes a little "back door" trick
Here's the tutorial:
Enjoy!

Thank you very much for showing me a great work around - I knew one had to exist but didn't have enough to figure on my own. May I ask how this solution came to you.
Ingenius & useful Thanks a hundred fold

Thanks for watching, Ron!
I'm not quite sure how I got to this work around....I've just always been the type of person you can't tell "You Can't Do That!" to

Very good Jenn -- I have used that trick before in 3.2 (hadn't realized you could drag it around like that - I used either a positive or negative delay on the sound to move it over top of the other one to get them to mix). Maybe that's a feature in 4.x being able to drag the slide sound around.

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Nope, Mikey.....it was there in 3.2....just hidden in the "things they don't tell you about" list!

I've been using this little "trick" for a couple of years too (well, the offset part of it anyway).
As "obvious" as it may seem (after some thought) some folk just need that little nudge to help them see it! That's when they smack themselves in the forehead and say, "egads! That's so obvious (now)!"
I don't use the tab key very often to change the soundtrack access. I don't find it usually gaining me anything (the ability to drag a soundtrack around and such). When I have added sounds to the slide in the past I only did the manual offset. This ability to drag the sound around instead is going to be handy to know sometimes! Now there's a real reason for me to use this tab feature! Doing multiple sounds to a "slide" in the past was a real PITA sometimes when I was trying to get them right. This dragging option can really save some time and aggravation (possibly)!

Jennifer,
Thanks for the Tut. I have done this before but have not used the "Drag" procedure ... now I will, it makes it easy.

Thanks Jennifer. Now that you have shown me how easy it is I think I will have to use it.
You are so clever and make your tutorials so simple to follow.
Cheers, Diane

All along I've been using offset, typing in a number, testing, typing in another number, testing... Control-click-drag works so much better because you get a visual of precisely where that sound will play.
No thanks to Photodex for the lack of a real manual, but kudos to you, Jennifer, for filling in the gaps for us.

Re: Adding Multiple Sounds to a Single Slide (3:40)
THANKS so much!! I was just working with this yesterday...I did know you could slide sounds around but never tried to cross the line. LOL
I will go back and redo my slide from yesterday. I finally made a slide for each click. Now I can go back to one slide.
Again thanks so much for sharing!!!

Re: Adding Multiple Sounds to a Single Slide (3:40)
Glad I came across this little gem of a workaround for putting more than one sound clip on a slide. I really needed this a few weeks ago, but time has caught up to me and all is well!
Re: Adding Multiple Sounds to a Single Slide (3:40)
Thanks Jennifer. I assume after sliding the sound file in your example, the offset for that last slide will now show a negative offset?
