I have one set of Digital Hotcakes and I have several favorites that I use over and over. Yes, they work well.

Enjoy,

I have used some Digital Hotcakes and they were ok to nice. I have used a couple from Rab-Byte, which were really, really nice. They can be downloaded for about $15 to $30 each.

There are a couple of popular sources of "add in" transitions, video clips and sound stuff that people here use on a regular basis. One of them is the stuff from Digital Juice (watch their sales) http://www.digitaljuice.com and another is Digital Hotcakes ( http://www.digitalhotcakes.com/ ). I have a bunch of the digital juice stuff - they have their "Stack Traxx" which is various flavors of layered music and their "Swipes" that can be used as a transition between segments (a wipe if you will). There are a number of threads in the forums here (as well as stuff in the Forum Book (grab a copy if you don't have it - lots of good info)) about using Digital Juice stuff and a couple on the Digital Hotcakes stuff. Mostly created for video editing, it can be used with the slide shows with a bit of "tweaking" quite nicely.

Oh, and by the way -- welcome to the funny farm !!

Speaking of Digital Hotcakes, what do you make of this email that I received from them yesterday:

Annoucing the End of Slideshows

Dear Mona,

This is the first time I've ever emailed you about the services
of another company. But, as someone who has spent many hours
making photo slideshows, I feel compelled. What if I told you
you could create a electrifying custom video in just minutes?

It's all automatic, completely customized, takes just minutes,
no two videos are the same, unlimited shorts for free, and
created by tv and film producers. To find out more, click on
the following link:

Happy Editing,

She may be thinking that she is promoting the video clips of Digital Hotcakes, but at the same time she hurts our feelings - the Proshow users - who believe that our shows are so unique and we are so proud of them.

I don't think she realizes how much fun, pride and creativity goes into to what we do.....she obviously thinks this is a good thing! hugs Jan
