Help with first Digital Juice

Pardon my newness with this, but if I download a digital juice product, is it basically like dropping any other .mov file to my show? What is the "works with free juicer software"? Do I need that software to make them work also?
Is it a confusing process to add to shows? I guess I saw some of the questions, and I get more confused. Thanks for any help and suggestions with getting started with Digital Juice.
